Prime minister Ahmed Nazif has said he wants the budget for research increased up to tenfold

The objective of this table is to get data on GDP in current USDollars (not PPP dollars) and to see international available data. Further work of OST and ESTIME project should complement the data. Furthermore, the data suggest some interesting discrepancies.

MED7 : EU-MED countries joint workshops

In the frame of MED 7, six thematic Workshops will be organised to implement the RTD Monitoring Committee’s (MoCo) conclusions (S&T Barcelona Committee), by identifying scientific priorities and mechanisms for cooperation with regional impact in the short term.
The ultimate goal is to provide S&T work input for the preparation of the forthcoming "INCO-MED" activities.
The areas of discussions were:
