M2ERA est un projet Bilateral entre le Maroc et l’UE. Il a été en partie modelé sur l’exemple de MIRA project, et contient un work-package sur la mesure de l’impact de la recherche qui s’appuie sur les méthodologies développées par ESTIME.
R. Arvanitis devait y faire une présentation des résultats de ESTIME sur l’état de la recherche dans les pays arabes(comme lors de la présentation des résultats de ESTIME au Moco, Istanbul en Novembre 2008).

M2ERA is a bilateral project between Morocco and the EU. It was modeled partly on MIRA project, and contains a work-package that draws on the methodologies developed by ESTIME.
R. Arvanitis was asked to make a presentation on the state of Scientific Research in Arab countries: Some results from ESTIME (basically the same presentation as the presentation of ESTIME results ).

La coopération internationale de la DG Recherche de la COmmission Européenne a ouvert un nouveau site web.
Ce nouveau site devrait informer sur les questions de politique de coopération internationale en matière de recherche.

An interesting report that treats the question of Scientific collaborations in developing countries was issued by the RAND corporation in 2001.

Needs for research and innovation in MED countries

The European Commission organized a series of workshops in order to identify future needs for research and innovation in the Mediterranean countries.
The seminars were held between may and August 2005 under the name MED7 workshops. They can be consulted on the MED7 official website.

MED7 : EU-MED countries joint workshops

In the frame of MED 7, six thematic Workshops will be organised to implement the RTD Monitoring Committee’s (MoCo) conclusions (S&T Barcelona Committee), by identifying scientific priorities and mechanisms for cooperation with regional impact in the short term.
The ultimate goal is to provide S&T work input for the preparation of the forthcoming "INCO-MED" activities.
